  2. @TheTrueMetal9 Contacts are bad anyway, I don’t recommend them to anyone, your eye doctor will never tell you to wear contacts as they cause all sort of problems, like dry eyes, etcetera.

    Research everything before just listening to your friends who say it’s great after 1 week or 1 year. The truth is it’s not great, everybody regresses, but then your eyes don’t produce any more natural tears making contacts impossible to wear. Did the LASIK staff tell you this?

  6. i been having this irritation. my whites of my left eye was first pink and it was returned to red and then i wasnt able to see clearly because everythin was a blur right now i cant see anything clear all i see is blur :( and my optomotrist said that theres nothing wrong

  9. This surgery destoyed my life. My eyes are ruined and in pain 24hrs a day as a result of my decision to get this surgery.

  10. is your vision worse than before after this surgery? any improvements?

  11. vision is not better then before the surgery, everything now seems darker, colors are more dull and at night nothing is crisp and all light sources have halos.

  13. honestly i think it was the best money i have ever spent. theres nothing more amazing then waking up the next day being able to see everything without glasses, I was never able to wear contact lenses so being able to see 20/20 without glasses is just unbeliveable. The surgery may look a little freaky but its not as bad as it seems. My mom actually sees better now then when she had to wear glasses and I havent hear anyone i know whos had it done say anything bad about it, so Goodluck!

  14. I don’t think Lasik is a good idea. If it is successful then you will see great, but if anything goes wrong you are fucked. Its a big risk.

    I had PRK which is basically Lasik without the cutting. The cutting is really the most risky part of the surgery. If you can get PRK instead do it. Its a lot safer than Lasik.

  17. PRK usually costs the same as lasik. If the cost is different.. PRK is usually cheaper.

    PRK is so much better. Its what most athletes get because there are not long term complications. Lasik can cause problems down the road because the flap they cut never heals.

    Yeah. I can’t touch my eye at all. Like seeing someone touch their eye makes me feel sick to my stomach. I dunno why. I hate glasses and can’t do contacts. I am gonna look into PRK and see what i can do.

  19. AND PEOPLE PAY TO HAVE THIS DONE!?!?! I think I’ll stick with reading glasses and taking breaks when working at the Mac (won’t say “PC” or “computer” again).

  22. You are incorrect. The FLAP never heals, that is why LASIK doctors can peel it back 2, 4, 6, 8 years later and perform “enhancments.” They don’t tell you this, their staff lies stating it heals and the flap is returned to it’s original position. Truth be told, your eye is open to a lifetime of infection and if you study the FDA’s website, you will read thousands of cases of this. Hope this helps!

  23. This is true. After Lasik.. your eye is only 2% of its original strength. Any eye injury you get can be a serious problem.

    Lasik can’t be reversed. Once they cut that flap your eyes are ruined for life.
